Not nearly as bitter when drunk from my IPA glass. Amazing how much that changes the flavor. Not sure how they bill this as a Pale Ale instead of an IPA, though.
Drank 12 oz of Cassian Sunset by Central Waters Brewing Company (2016-04-05)May 23rd, 2016

Smells like hot chocolate at cellar temp. Vanilla and cinnamon come through as it warms.
2016-04-19
Unexpectedly thin mouthfeel. Tastes like ice cream at about 50 degrees. Changes tremendously as it warms. Cinnamon really comes to the fore. Not a strong bourbon presence and the coffee is pretty subtle, other than giving some bitterness at the end.

Drank 22 oz of Funzino by Pipeworks Brewing CompanyMay 21st, 2016

I've never regretted buying a Pipeworks IPA. This isn't among my favorite IPAs but it's still really delicious. All the Ninjas are going to be fresh, too.

Dank and resinous. So bold and fresh, but not my favorite. Strong floral aromas not much citrus.
Drank 12 oz of Enjoy By 05.30.16 Tangerine IPA by Stone Brewing Co. (2016-04-24)May 20th, 2016

I think it may not have been fully chilled last night. Lot's of fresh hops. Still not as bitter as I like but it's really drinkable.
2016-05-05
Not as potent as I expected. 9.4% drinks like 7%. Surprisingly subtle which isn't what I want for a $15 6-pack. Hit me in the face with those hops, please. I need to try the regular. I'd rather have the Ruination.

Drank 12 oz of Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale by Central Waters Brewing Company (2015-08-06)May 19th, 2016

This is just my favorite beer. So rich and sweet, but not alcohol sweet. Smooth and delicious.
2016-05-04
Bourbon had faded significantly after 9 months. It's still there but more in the background. It's smoother overall but I really liked the big bourbon presence.
Drank 25 oz of Serendipity by New Glarus Brewing CompanyMay 19th, 2016

Blows me away, every time. The wrong food pairing can wreck this beer, though. First glass was amazing. After a salad with vinegar mustard dressing, all I could taste was the apples and a little cherry tart and cranberry sour.

Drank 12 oz of Wulver by Thirsty Dog Brewing (2015)May 15th, 2016

Amazing this time. Humongous barrel character. Incredible vanilla. This time was as good as any other BB scotch ale I've had. They're crazy to say 43 degrees, though. Doesn't come alive below 55.
2015-12-31
CAUTION, GUSHER!!! A bit thin but plenty of depth. Ignore suggestion to drink at 43 degrees. Heavy whiskey flavor. 11 months in the barrel can do that. Could mellow out with some time.
