Intense! ;-) Lots of cherry but also much tarter than expected given the reviews mentioning sweetness. Was tasty.

Delicious, sour, tart forward beer that's extremely drinkable for the high ABV.

Big but extremely drinkable, lives up to its reputation, one of the better old ales I've had.
Drank 500 ml of Anniversary Strong Ale by New Glarus Brewing Company (2013)October 4th, 2013
2013-10-04
This beer was awesome; possibly my favorite of the weekend, such a great take on an old ale with a Belgian twist.
Drank 500 ml of It Takes a Lot of Great Beer to Make Great Wine by Russian River Brewing Company (2013-08-30)October 1st, 2013
2013-10-09
A delicious pilsner, unsurprising that their offering in this style would be stellar.
2013-10-01
A delicious pilsner, get some good hop fruitiness up front, and a great body for the style.

Drank 650 ml of Black Butte XXV (25th Birthday Reserve) by Deschutes Brewery (2013)September 30th, 2013

Big sweetness in the nose, lots of dark fruits and bourbon on the palate, not too much heat. Good, but some time to settle should be good for the big fruit presence.
Drank 650 ml of Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing Co. (2012)September 29th, 2013
2014-09-21
Tasty, age brings out some of the raisin characteristics, overall mellow and drinkable.
2014-06-13
Still delicious, has held up really well, glad to have one more of these to drink, and should probably bring it up soon-ish.
2013-10-29
Still a good roast on the nose, a teensy bit of bite, and great ashen chocolate and sweet malt characteristics. This thing is pretty nice after a year.
2013-09-29
Quite tasty!
2013-01-14
Brownie in the nose, fun! Sweet and a little smoke, slight bitter on the finish. Tasty.

2013-09-28
Still good!
2013-09-28
A solid DIPA; a little on the maltier side, but a good hop presence on the palate.

Sweet, but not too sweet, a great Marzen
2013-09-28
Tasty, with lots of malt, definitely a taste of Germany.
Drank 750 ml of Sour in the Rye with Kumquats by The Bruery (2013-04-25)September 27th, 2013
2016-02-27
Tasting a lot like a Night Shift beer, not at all like last remembered, mellow, a teensy bit of nail polish remover, still some lovely fruitiness, and generally delicious.
2013-09-27
Such an amazing nose and an awesome sour; great mix of tart and fruit. The Bruery at its best.
2013-07-19
Nice addition! Fruits adds to the nose and mellows out the front end, which leads nicely into a puckering finish. Quite good.
Drank 12 oz of Big Daddy IPA by Speakeasy Ales and Lagers (2013)September 23rd, 2013
2013-09-23
Mild sweetness, some breadiness, balanced hoppiness, some grass there but not too much. Not bad.
