Drank 750 ml of Smokey And The Bois (Rare Beer Collaboration) by The Bruery (2014-08-10) | August 29th, 2015 |
2015-08-29 Really hot, lots of booze, not too much smoke, and ending very sweet. Not the best.
Drank 750 ml of Apricot Ale by Cascade Brewing (2012) | July 19th, 2015 |
2015-07-19 Just a hint of fruit, and lots of tart. Quite good.
2013-09-09 Definitely less fruit than the fresh bottling, but still delicious. Digging it.
Drank 750 ml of Odyssey by Allagash Brewing Company (2013-02) | June 28th, 2015 |
2015-06-28 Still a lot of oak, a great, drinkable malt profile, and an all around quaffable Belgian style ale, especially given the ABV.
2013-05-11 Lots of oak in the nose and up front on the palate, no alcohol heat, some grains, delicious.
Drank 12 oz of Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout by Goose Island Beer Co. (2013-11-15) | June 26th, 2015 |
2015-06-26 Still a surprising amount of coffee, and tasting great, thick, not too hot, and that great BCBS stout character. Still digging it.
2015-01-23 Tasting great, though as expected a bit muted on the coffee compared to drinking it fresh.
2014-12-24 Much sweeter than remembered, though not in a bad way, coffee definitely subdued but still present in the nose and on the backend, has some of that BCBW marshmellow I remember too. Tasting great.
2014-02-24 Still great, lots of coffee on the nose and on the palate, and so drinkable for the ABV, hardly any heat. A great blend.
2013-12-13 Sooo much coffee presence, delicious and up front, much better than the 2012 bottle opened a while back. Superb and not grounds-like, just a great blend, should drink another soon.
Drank 750 ml of Cosmic Dust by The Rare Barrel (2014-07-03) | June 26th, 2015 |
2015-06-26 Hibiscus faded but still there, especially in the nose, and just a really solid sour profile, not too funky or brett forward, just right in both areas. Delicious.
Drank 375 ml of Framboise For A Cure by Russian River Brewing Company (2014-09-04) | June 26th, 2015 |
2015-06-26 Delicious as always, not too much raspberry left but still lots of citrus, and that perfect Russian River sour profile.
2015-03-05 Delicious, amazing color, great nose, lots of citrus and still a good bit of fruit there. Amazing beer.
2015-01-23 Still tasting amazing, plenty of fruit, best color of the batches tonight, if anything tasting a little more balanced now than it did fresh.
2014-11-16 Delicious, some lemon character, mild raspberry, great tang, a good start.
Drank 750 ml of Marshal Zhukov's Imperial Stout by Cigar City Brewing (2013-07-12) | June 26th, 2015 |
2015-06-26 Possibly unfair as tastes just after the coffee BCBS, but tasted a bit thin with a bit of anise, and generally good but not standout.
Drank 750 ml of Dantalion Dark Wild Ale by Upland Brewing (2014) | June 20th, 2015 |
2015-06-20 Tasty, malty, not too sour, a solid dark wild ale. Like a Supplication but a bit maltier.
Drank 12 oz of Farmer's Reserve Pluot by Almanac Beer Co. (2015) | June 12th, 2015 |
2015-06-12 Lots of pluot, but I didn't taste much as it didn't mesh with fresh brushed teeth. However, the wife adored it.
Drank 650 ml of Imperial Eclipse Stout - Evan Williams Bourbon by FiftyFifty Brewing Co. (2010) | April 4th, 2015 |
2015-04-04 Tasty! A nice bit of hop sharpness, surprisingly, not too sweet with a great bourbon character. Quite good, better than I remember the last Eclipse.
Drank 750 ml of Mango Hottenroth by The Bruery (2014-11-10) | March 28th, 2015 |
2015-03-28 Not so great, seems a bit off, normal Hottenroth pleasantness given over to a bit of a rancid sourness. Oh well.
Drank 12 oz of Bourbon Fred From The Wood by Hair of the Dog Brewing Company (2013) | March 24th, 2015 |
2015-03-24 Noooooo. Flat, boozy, unappealing, all around sadness. Drain pour.
Drank 750 ml of Strawberry by Cascade Brewing (2013) | March 23rd, 2015 |
2015-03-23 Too much bandaid and nail polish remover, despite a nice strawberry nose, and a bit medicinal. Alas, better fresh.
2013-08-14 Lots of strawberry in the nose, then a bit up front, and it subsides into puckering tartness with not much fruit. Not at all bad, but the Apricot and the Kriek are both better expressions of fruit beer.
Drank 750 ml of Map of the Sun by The Rare Barrel (2014-10-08) | March 23rd, 2015 |
2015-03-23 Delicious! Super clean, good bit of apricot, perfect tartness, an all around wonderful beer.
2014-12-31 Tasting good but not stellar, recall it being better on draft, I did have a pour towards the end of the bottle so might have been dregs interfering.
Drank 650 ml of Toasty Nut Abduction by Pipeworks Brewing Company (2014) | March 21st, 2015 |
2015-03-21 Also quite tasty, not sure how but the coconuts actually melded into a nice malty sweetness that paired with the nutty backend nicely. |
