Drank 12 oz of Mastermind by Fiddlehead Brewing (2014) | October 12th, 2014 |
2014-10-14 Amazing hop character in the nose and the taste, so bursting with fruit and bubble gum, love it.
2014-10-12 Fun, got a bit of a bubblegum thing going on, some fruitiness to the hop character, hazy color and good malt sweetness. Not bad, and surprised it's 8%.

Drank 750 ml of Golden Orchard by The Bruery (2013-03-18) | October 9th, 2014 |
2014-10-09 Lots of yeast in the nose, mild funk, with some apple, tartness, and esters on the palate. Drinkable but nothing great.
Drank 650 ml of Velvet Merkin by Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (2013) | October 9th, 2014 |
2014-10-09 Tasting good, a bit lighter than expected, hides the booze entirely, some nuttiness and some oatmeal definitely present, a delicious brew.
2013-10-15 Makes the wife a happy wife ;-) Awesome nose, lots of vanilla and maybe a hint of coconut, super smooth on the palate with a perfect balance of maltiness and oak characteristic, cut nicely by the oatmeal. Firestone knows how to make a delicious stout.
Drank 750 ml of Darkness by Surly Brewing Co (2013) | September 30th, 2014 |
2014-09-30 Tasty brew, very solid imperial Russian stout, not too sweet, not too bitter, delicious cocoa, coffee, and caramel notes. A hit!
Drank 650 ml of Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing Co. (2013-03-22) | September 23rd, 2014 |
2014-09-23 Great beer, better than the 2012, less raisin, more coffee and roasted oak, some malt, and a tiny bit of tasty booze in the finish. Delicious.
2013-04-29 Tasty! Not as much brownie as 2012 release, guessing it needs time to settle.
Drank 650 ml of Black Xantus by Nectar Ales (2010) | September 22nd, 2014 |
2014-09-22 Delicious, with some burnt caramel, still a good bit of coffee, and delicious notes of vanilla and oak. Dig this beer and has held up amazingly.
2013-02-15 Coffee notes come through, a little sharp, not much booziness, tasty!

2014-09-21 Delicious, lots of vanilla, bourbon, wheat, and a little bit of booze though not too much. Tasty and makes a happy wife.
Drank 650 ml of Imperial Russian Stout by Stone Brewing Co. (2012) | September 21st, 2014 |
2014-09-21 Tasty, age brings out some of the raisin characteristics, overall mellow and drinkable.
2014-06-13 Still delicious, has held up really well, glad to have one more of these to drink, and should probably bring it up soon-ish.
2013-10-29 Still a good roast on the nose, a teensy bit of bite, and great ashen chocolate and sweet malt characteristics. This thing is pretty nice after a year.
2013-09-29 Quite tasty!
2013-01-14 Brownie in the nose, fun! Sweet and a little smoke, slight bitter on the finish. Tasty.
Drank 12 oz of Bible Belt by Prairie Artisan Ales / Evil Twin Brewing (2014) | September 18th, 2014 |
2014-09-18 Similar profile to Bomb, but with more chiles evident over time on the finish, lots of cocoa and coffee, a tasty stout!
Drank 750 ml of Bourbon Barrel Aged 4 Calling Birds by The Bruery (2012-10-02) | September 16th, 2014 |
2014-09-16 Tons of booze up front, there on the palate too but more blended than the nose would suggest, a nice Belgian presence with a bit of spice, some esters, and lots of stone fruit. Tasty!

2014-09-11 Still great.

2014-08-28 Still delicious.
2014-08-26 Still delicious, though it took a few sips to really warm up to it (possibly overcoming the previous IPA we were drinking). Fruit, citrus, mild bitterness on the backend, absolutely delicious.
