Opa and oma gave me this after I enjoyed it at their home. The flavor is a bit sweet but is otherwise balanced. Tastes of cereal, cookies, and grass.
Drank 12 oz of Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat by Boulevard Brewing CompanyMay 8th, 2015
2015-05-08
This wheat beer smells of straw and wheat and of lemon and orange. It tastes the same with a little doughiness from the yeast. It pours a hazy straw color with a huge white head.

Drank 12 oz of Two Hearted Ale by Bell's Brewery, Inc.May 7th, 2015

I am always surprised by Two Hearted Ale. It smells citrusy and piney with faint perfume and sweet malts. The taste is of the same hops and malts
Drank 12 oz of Schlafly Pale Ale by Saint Louis Brewery / Schlafy Tap RoomMay 6th, 2015
2015-05-06
Its a pale ale that meets the guide lines but does not exceed anywhere. There is some biscuit, dough, and a little caramel from the malts and yeast. The hops bring faint citrus and herb.

Drank 12 oz of Dry-Hopped APA by Saint Louis Brewery / Schlafy Tap RoomMay 1st, 2015

This dry-hopped beer pours a golden hue with an off-white creamy head. It smelled of herbs, mint and wet grains. It tasted of the same with the addition of some resiny bitterness.
Drank 12 oz of Grapefruit Sculpin by Ballast Point Brewing CompanyApril 28th, 2015
2015-04-28
This was so fruity! It has additional juice added to it but that addition is making me reconsider IPAs. Given a choice I like Galaxy High.
Drank 12 oz of Brick Kiln by Jackie O's Pub & BreweryApril 22nd, 2015
2015-04-22
Brick Kiln is full of caramel and dark fruit notes, namely raisins. There are faint herbal notes from the hops.
Drank 12 oz of Galaxy High by MadTreeApril 20th, 2015
2015-04-20
So much citrus hops! It reeks of grapefruit but is backed up by sweet caramel and honey like malts. The bitterness does not linger but a frutiness does which is a huge win in my books.
Drank 12 oz of Bay of Bengal Double IPA by Christian Moerlein Brewing CompanyApril 19th, 2015
2015-04-19
The nose is strong with citrus and pine. It tastes of caramel and honey, citrus, herbs and pine.

Drank 12 oz of Backwoods Bastard by Founders BrewingApril 16th, 2015

Spicy bourbon heat with buried raisin, dark fruit, and caramel notes. I will be aging the remaining bottles to see how the are affected.
Drank 22 oz of Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout by Great Divide Brewing CompanyApril 11th, 2015

Espresso Yeti poured like thicker motor oil that Yeti. It had more coffee notes that Yeti, which it should. There was also faint woodiness.
