Light, a nice wit. Most interesting is the grain in the finish.
Drank 330 ml of Trappistes Rochefort 10 by Brasserie de Rochefort (2012)January 12th, 2013
2013-08-19
Great beer, currants and other stone fruits in the nose and on the palate.
2013-01-03
Dark, rich, deceptively smooth for the strength. Lives up to its reputation, should get some more!
Drank 330 ml of Westmalle Trappist Tripel by Brouwerij Westmalle (2012)January 12th, 2013
2013-02-16
Still light and delicious
2013-01-07
Sweet, straightforward (in a good way), feels light but is strong! Great lighter tripel.
Drank 330 ml of Still Nacht by Brouwerij De Dolle Brouwers (2010)January 12th, 2013
2013-04-08
Orange blossom honey, three mms on the Cami scale. Tons of carbonation, tons of yeast, actively overflows from the bottle once uncapped.
2013-02-07
Less sweet than expected, a lot of yeast character, not a favorite.
Drank 330 ml of St. Bernardus Abt 12 by Brouwerij St. Bernardus (2012)January 12th, 2013
2013-08-12
Really solid, lots of yeast in the pour, but a great quadruple.
2013-01-13
Smooth but with a good fizz on the finish. Mild nose, creamy mouthfeel, a straightforward expression of the quad style. Quite good.
Drank 650 ml of Stone 09.09.09 Vertical Epic Ale by Stone Brewing Co. (2009)January 10th, 2013
2013-01-22
Interesting for a Belgian Dark, has more of a stout flavor than typical Belgian. Some coffee, bitterness, pretty smooth, mild sweetness on the finish.
Drank 650 ml of Stone 07.07.07 Vertical Epic Ale by Stone Brewing Co. (2007)January 10th, 2013
2012-12-28
Fruity nose and flavor, mild citrus, "guava juice" from Cami
Drank 650 ml of Gramarye by Heretic Brewing Company (2013)January 10th, 2013
2013-01-11
Mild but tasty rye character, lots of flavor for such a mild ale.
Drank 650 ml of Green Flash Palate Wrecker by Green Flash Brewing Co. (2013)January 10th, 2013
2013-01-13
Hopped during mash, sparge, and then throughout the brew. Awesome!
Drank Blind Pig IPA by Russian River Brewing Company (2013)January 10th, 2013
2013-01-11
Well balanced, mild malt in the nose, but nice hop character. Supremely well balanced IPA.
Drank 750 ml of Brux Domesticated Wild Ale by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (2012)January 9th, 2013
2013-06-19
Mild, brett nose, and a delicious mix of sweetness and brett funk on the palate; this second tasting is better than I remember the first being.
2012-12-28
First tasting was solid, with mild sourness. Don't mix with other beers, will overwhelm. Definite wild ale mouthfeel.
Drank 750 ml of Autumn Maple by The Bruery (2012)January 9th, 2013
2013-03-02
Sweet, yam in the nose but not too much on the palate. Interesting, but not a favorite.
2013-01-05
First one was sour! Accidentally soured batch, and second bottle likely affected as well. Lots of vinegar, not sure how I felt about this take on it.
Drank 750 ml of White Oak by The Bruery (2012)January 8th, 2013
2013-09-17
This is such a great beer, and a year of age has only helped. Delicious wheat sweetness up front, and flows smoothly into delicious bourbon overtones. Dig it.
2012-12-28
Delicious, wheat and oak and bourbon undertones.
Drank 650 ml of Stone 12.12.12 Vertical Epic Ale by Stone Brewing Co. (2012)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-28
Rounded spice notes most evident. Clove, musk, "baked ham" from Cami ;-)
Drank 650 ml of Stone 11.11.11 Vertical Epic Ale by Stone Brewing Co. (2011)January 8th, 2013
2012-12-28
Noticeable spiced flavor, chilies and cinnamon come through.
